It's that time of year when most of us are thinking it's time for a Spring Clean. As well as our Furniture, Cupboards, Carpets...essentially anywhere that requires a thorough clean, it's also a good idea to clean and maintain our electrical appliances.
None more so than our Computers. Desktop and Laptop computers have inbuilt fans, which are designed to keep them cool. This is done by bringing cooler air into the system. Essentially acting as a vacuum.
Well, of course as the system brings in cool air, it also brings in other external entities such as dust and pet hair. As these build up, the subsequent effect is that the computer gets hotter, slows down and does not run as it should.
These need to be cleaned with special tools as not to cause more damage if any. Unfortunately a feather duster or such like is not going to get the job done.
Ideally the insides of a Desktop or Laptop computer should be cleaned every 6 months.
